Skoda has released a promotional video of the Rapid Spaceback which makes its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in ten days. The video shows a sporty variant of the estate being driven around town.
The Rapid Spaceback would slot between the Fabia Combi and the Octavia Combi. As is the case with the notchback versions, the Rapid Spaceback and the new Octavia Combi could easily be mistaken for each other. The length is the easiest parameter of differentiation between the cars.
The Spaceback will inherit engine options from the Rapid. Petrol and diesel engines with power outputs ranging from 73-120bhp would be offered.
Top-end variants of the Spaceback have a tinted panoramic glass roof which, apart from making the cabin airy, also renders a nice contrast to the body color. It has to be said that the Spaceback has well-balanced proportions for a station wagon.
