Becomes the 6th model in the Monte Carlo lineup
The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo has made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, making it the sixth model in the Monte Carlo lineup.
The exterior has received black accents to differentiate this model from the standard variant. Black shade has been applied to the radiator grille, front bumper and the front spoiler. The sides get black mirror housing, side skirts and choice of 16- or 17-inch rims with the rear receiving a faux black diffuser and spoiler.
Optional xenon headlights come as standard while fog lights, rear and back windows, tail lights have all been tinted. The black B-pillars also feature Monte Carlo badges with the side mirrors being heated and electrically adjustable.
On the inside, there are individual sports seats and a three-spoke sports steering wheel wrapped in leather with the same treatment extended to the gearstick and handbrake.
There are no changes under the hood. The Rapid comes with the same options of TSI petrol engines with outputs of 90, 110 and 125 PS, while the two diesel engines produce 90 and 116 PS of max power. These units come with regenerative braking and start/stop system, which help them achieve Euro 6 emission standards.
The Rapid Monte Carlo will be seen in showrooms from November this year.
