Skoda has announced the price for the range-topping Skoda Octavia Laurin & Klement edition it had showcased at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The variant costs £26,570 (Rs 26.79 lakh) and it can be had in either the hatchback and estate body style. It is powered by 3 engines, first is the 1.8 TSI petrol engine putting out 177 hp and two 2.0 TDI diesel engine producing 148 hp and 181 hp respectively. The 1.8 TSI and the 2.0 TDI (148 hp) are available with the option of an automatic DSG or manual transmission. The estate version also gets 4x4 drive.
The Laurin & Klement edition adds a few bells and whistles to the otherwise top-end Skoda Octavia Elegance trim, such as a bespoke interior, bi-xenon headlamps with adaptive front lights system, LED taillights and cornering fog lamps. Illuminated front & rear footwells, brown Alcantara leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and heated driver's seat, Canton sound system, L&K Cabin logos and stitching and door sill trims complete the interior features.
18-inch Turbine rims, adaptive cruise control with front assistant, chrome window surround and lane & park assist are some of the other useful and noteworthy gadgets on the L&K.
Skoda India has not committed to launching the L&K Octavia in India, but have presented the top-of-the-line variant on previous generation models.
