Youtuber 'Premster14' has posted a video showing the Range Rover Velar on Indian soil.
According to earlier reports, JLR India will reveal the prices of the Range Rover Velar on September 21. The SUV has already been listed on Land Rover India's official webpage and dealerships are accepting bookings for the Velar currently.
Based on leaked information that surfaced last month, the price of the Range Rover Velar will start at INR 79.xx lakhs for the entry level S trims of the 2.0 L petrol and diesel variants. The top-of-the-line Range Rover Velar 3.0 HSE will cost INR 1.18 Crore ex-showroom. The official website of Land Rover India lists a range topping First Edition variant of the Velar, which will likely be the most expensive in the lineup.
The Velar will be available in three main trims - S, SE and HSE. It will be offered with D180 2.0 L Ingenium diesel, D300 3.0 L V6 diesel and P250 2.0 L Ingenium petrol engines. All variants get an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. The range topping Range Rover Velar 3.0 diesel will do 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 241 km/h.
Overseas, the Velar features full Matrix-Laser LED headlights with signature daytime running lights, flush deployable door handles, 22-inch wheels and LED tail lights. Inside, there is a digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch HD display and 20-way adjustable driver/passenger memory seats with massage and heating/cooling functions. The Touch Pro Duo infotainment system integrates two 10-inch HD touchscreens and Velar's ICE features a 1,600-watt, 23-speaker Meridian Signature Sound audio system.
