Qoros has announced the launch of its infotainment system 'QorosQloud' that will launch on its cars when they hit the Chinese market later this year. The basic functions of an infotainment system - entertainment, navigation, communication, and vehicle monitoring - can be controlled on the Windows Azure Platform which is its backbone.

QorosQloud

QorosQloud is a cloud based system that uses the Windows Azure Cloud platform to offer 30 services including access to local social media channels. Microsoft would be the first international service provider in China to offer Cloud services. Qoros have chosen Microsoft as they have a strong European presence which Qoros has already identified as a future market.

An eight-inch touchscreen embedded in the center console is said to safely manage information displays to reduce driver distractions. For example, taking a phone call is performed by swiping a finger towards the driver.
