According to a report on Paultan, the Perodua Bezza, which will have its market launch tonight in Malaysia, has racked up 4,028 bookings within a 5-day span. Among the five available variants, 50 percent of bookings was for the 1.3L Advance variant, 35 percent for the 1.3L Premium variant, while the remaining 15 percent comprised the 1.0L variants.
To recap, the Perodua Bezza will offer two petrol engine options. A 1.0 liter 1KR-VE VVT-i unit develops 67 hp and 91 Nm of torque and is paired to 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions. Next up is a 1.3 liter 1NR-VE Dual VVT-i engine capable of 94 hp and 121 Nm, also available with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
Billed as the first sedan for Perodua, the Bezza cost RM 300 million to develop and has 95 percent local content. In recent news, the ASEAN NCAP gave the Bezza a five-star rating for variants equipped with VSC, whereas other models received a four-star rating.

The Perodua Bezza is based on the Perodua Axia's platform. At the tape, it measures 4,150 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width, 1,510 mm in height, but it shares the 2,455 mm wheelbase with the Axia. At 508 liters, the Bezza has double the trunk capacity of the Axia.
