Alongside the official launch of Pagani China Automotive Limited (PCAL), the Italian hypercar manufacturer revealed a new special edition of the Huayra exclusive to the areas covered by the newly-established division: Macau, Taiwan, and China.
Called the Huayra Dinastia Edition, it will be limited to only three examples since the number 3, when translated to Chinese, sounds like "sheng", which means life, new birth. Like any other Huayra, the body is made from carbon fiber. However, for the special edition model, the body is tinted in blue, gold and red as selected by company founder Horacio Pagani, and finished with a special lacquer that highlights the carbon fiber weave.
Also exclusive to the Dinastia Edition is a central fin that runs along the rear till the exhaust pipes, dragon artwork hand-painted across the side profile and interior, and special "Dinastia" badging at the back.
The model has been previewed to special clients via highly detailed scale models and computer renderings. It won't be a surprise if all three have already been ordered, given its exclusivity.
Otherwise, underneath the fancy suit is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine built by AMG that outputs 730 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Thanks to the lightweight carbon fiber-titanium chassis, the Huayra can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 370 km/h.
