According to reports coming out of Brazil, the Nissan Kicks has been validated by testing agency Inmetro for fuel efficiency and following are the numbers. When using ethanol, the compact SUV will consume 8.1 km/l in city and 9.6 km/l on the highway. When using petrol, the Nissan Kicks will achieve 11.4 km/l in city and 13.7 km/l on the highway.
The numbers are for the Kicks equipped with a 1.6-liter flex-fuel engine paired to a CVT. Nissan are yet to disclose specifications for this unit, though media reports anticipate this motor to churn around 105-110 hp.
The Nissan Kicks, when launched in Brazil this year, will feature diamond-cut alloy wheels, contrast color options, a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system with inbuilt navigation, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, a part-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, moving object detection, and optional leather seats.
According to reports, the Kicks will be launched in the Indian market next year. For Nissan India, the Kicks will be an important model to increase market share as the company's April 2016 sales slowed down by 28.9 percent to 3,028 units.

When launched, the Nissan Kicks will primarily rival the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra NuvoSport and Mahindra TUV300. Expect it to be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai with a high-degree of localization.
