Nissan launched the Evalia today in a price range of Rs. 8.49 to Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
The Nissan Evalia, sitting right between the Ertiga and the Innova, creates a new segment offering space and practicality of an MUV at the price of a sedan.

Nissan Motor Co. is aiming at a global market share of 6.7% by the FY 2012 and 8% by FY 2016. The company will launch a new vehicle every 6 weeks globally, leading to a total number of 51 new cars by 2016.
The company is also shifting its preference from mature markets (like in FY 2007, 60% preference was on mature markets and 40% on emerging markets) to emerging markets (60% preference to emerging markets and 40% to mature markets) by FY 2016.
In India alone, Nissan Motor Co. will be investing Rs. 4,500 crore increasing the annual capacity of its Chennai plant to 4 lakh units out of which 1 lakh units will be exported to over 77 countries by FY 2016.
Nissan India is aiming at launching 10 new models and increasing it dealer network from 75 to 300 by FY16.
Nissan India is aiming to double its previous year volumes with the introduction of Evalia.
