The JDM-spec Nissan Clipper micro truck has landed in Malaysia. The 'kei' truck from Japan is powered by a 660 cc and is essentially a Nissan badged version of the Mitsubishi Minicab cargo van. Paultan has shared images of the Nissan Clipper from a dealership in Malaysia.
The 'kei' truck is powered by a 3G83 660 cc 3-cylinder engine that produces 48 hp at 5,250 rpm and 62 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm channeled through a 5-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. 2,000 kg is the Nissan Clipper's maximum payload capacity. It rides on 12-inch tyres.
The cabin has very basic amenities like manual air conditioning and an audio unit. The utilitarian setup features a dark theme with a very basic instrument console featuring a centrally mounted speedometer flanked by fuel and temperature gauges. It gets manual wind up/down windows and manually adjustable ORVMs.
