Toyota Middle East has updated the SUV portfolio to MY2017 this month. Models include the popular Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, Fortuner, FJ Cruiser and RAV4.
The Fortuner was launched in its latest generation in the UAE last year. This month, it makes the jump to MY2017, although no design or changes have been introduced. It is available in three different grades with rejigged equipment level: EXR, GXR and VXR, with prices ranging from Dhs 109,900 to Dhs 145,000.
The EXR grade is powered by a 2.7L dual VVT-i four cylinder petrol engine that produces 164 hp and 24.9 kg-m of peak torque, while the GXR and VXR grades pack a bigger 4.0L VVT-i V6 N/A engine with 235 hp and 38.3 kg-m of torque. A 6-speed automatic and part time 4x4 drivetrain is standard in all variants, although the VXR and GXR grades additionally get steering-mounted paddle shifters.

Features in the top-end VXR grade include power-operated tailgate, rear view camera, leather seats, a new 8-inch navigation display with audio controls, 8-inch Rear Seat Entertainment system, dual airbags, driver's side knee airbag, automatic climate control and 18-inch alloy wheels.
TKM will launch the Fortuner in India on November 7.
