AvtoVAZ has confirmed to Just Auto that the Lada Vesta will launch on November 25 across Russia. To secure quality issues, the Lada Vesta will be sold in modest numbers, initially. By the end of this year, the company will have produced 5,000 examples, says an AvtoVAZ spokesman.
The mass production of the Lada Vesta has already commenced at the company's plant in Izhevsk, Russia on a new platform named B/C, developed by AvtoVAZ with inputs from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The Hyundai Solaris and VW Polo sedan rival measures 4,410 mm in length, 1,764 mm in width, 1,497 mm in height, 2,635 mm in wheelbase and has a boot volume of 480 litres.
According to a leaked spec sheet, the Vesta will be offered in three trim levels: Classic, Comfort and Luxe. Features include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, FM/AM, USB and AUX ports, steering mounted controls, heated front seats, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, automatic headlights, and automatic wipers.

The engine lineup includes a 1.6-litre petrol in 16-valve configuration and 8-valve configuration, which produces 106 hp and 87 hp, respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed AMT gearbox. There is also a Nissan-sourced 1.6-litre petrol engine that delivers 114 bhp, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Lada Vesta is expected to carry a price tag between RUB 495,000 to 600,000 (INR 4.98 to 6.04 lakhs).
