Lada has released the second teaser of its all new Vesta sedan which will grace the Moscow International Motor Show taking place next month. The company teased the exterior of the car earlier this month.
The image shows a modern looking dashboard with a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a tri-pod instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen display, an automatic climate control console and an automatic transmission.
Features on the Vesta will include dual front airbags, power steering, heated front seats, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, automatic headlights, automatic wipers and ABS. According to Lada's CEO, Bo Andersson, the Vesta would offer best-in-segment interior space and lowest cost of ownership.
Based on an all-new platform, the Vesta will match European cars in terms of safety and equipment. It will be powered by Renault and AvtoVAZ-made engines, and manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. An existing 1.6-liter 98 bhp petrol engine could be seen on the Vesta.
The Vesta will go on sale in Russia before September 2015 and will replace the Lada Priora. Andersson told the media earlier that the car will cost approximately 400,000 rubles (INR 6.96 lakhs). Lada is also reported to showcase two other concepts at the Moscow show – a hatchback and an EcoSport rivaling crossover.
The Vesta will not be India bound as Lada is not present in the country.
