The Ford Figo Aspire, Ford India's first take on a compact sedan, will have its market launch in a "couple of months", the company said in a statement. Expect the introduction of the Maruti Dzire-rival to take place in early-August, though previous reports claimed a launch in June.
Ford India has started marketing activities for the Figo Aspire nevertheless. The compact sedan was showcased in a 10-week long roadshow across 40-locations in 25 cities in India, where prospective customers could get a sneak-peek into the features and interior space of the Figo Aspire.
Ford India has confirmed a 1.2-liter TiVCT petrol and a 1.5-liter TDCi diesel for the Figo Aspire, and a 6-speed 'Powershift' dual-clutch transmission, which according to reports will be paired to a 1.5-liter petrol engine.

Further, the Figo Aspire will the only car in its segment to get side and curtain airbags, apart from dual front airbags, ABS and EBD. Ford's SYNC and AppLink entertainment system, the MyKey customizable driving key (which allows the owner to restrict the top-speed and music volume) and automatic climate control are other features that will be seen on the Figo Aspire.
