As the Ford Aspire 1.5 AT is based on the Titanium grade, it only got driver and passenger front airbags, while the Titanium+ grade of other manual variants came with a class-leading six airbag count.
Now though, Ford has made seven airbags as standard in the Ford Aspire 1.5 AT, including a driver's knee airbag. This makes it the only car for under INR 10 Lakhs in India to get a driver's side knee airbag. The Aspire AT also comes equipped with ABS+EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS) and Hill Launch Assist.
Ford had recently made ABS and EBD as standard in the Trend models, while dual airbags is standard across the range. No other changes have been made; Titanium grade of the manual variants continue to get dual airbags, ABS, and engine immobiliser.

On paper, the Ford Figo and Aspire are two of the safest cars for under 10 Lakhs, an USP that Ford is trying to market. Despite the attractive package, Ford is managing to push out an average of only 1,500 units of the Ford Aspire per month.
