The Fiat Freemont Black Code variant has been launched here at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sitting at the top of the Freemont variant ladder, its sales will begin in early 2014.
The Black Code would be available in FWD and AWD configurations. Externally the variant differs with a new gloss black detailing on the grille and mirror enclosures, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels. The headlight frames are also in black.
Moving to the interior, the Black Code gets equipment such as an automatic three-zone aircon, cruise control, leather upholstery, heated seats, power driver seats, keyless entry, rear parking sensors and electrically folding mirrors.
The interior also features an 8.4-inch touch screen that acts as a navigation device, rear parking camera and a DVD player. Sound is channeled via six speakers of 368 watt output.
The vehicle is powered by a 170hp 2.0L MultiJet engine with FWD and a manual gearbox, or an AWD, automatic transmission powered by a 280hp 3.6L petrol engine. Both gearboxes are 6-speed units.
