IAB readers were informed about the upcoming facelift of the new Fiat Linea a long time back. Our rendering maestro SRK also made a rendering projecting what the future Linea would look like. But thanks to our pals at Autossegredos, we bring you the very first images of the facelifted Fiat Linea rolling off the production line in Tofas in Bursa, Turkey.
As one would imagine, it is a cosmetic job with new set of engines. The key highlights of the facelift include:
- A new chrome grill
- Revised front bumper
- A generous dollop of Chrome splashed on to the front fascia
- A front lip spoiler
- The new Linea will debut with a 1.4 MultiAir and a second generation 1.3 Multijet diesel
The Linea was launched in 2007 and has stayed pretty much the same ever since. Thus, a facelift was bound to happen sooner or later. But somehow we are not convinced that the new front fascia is the way forward. It leaves us wanting for more.
What do you think for the new design?
