Will be the only model in the lineup with a single-cylinder engine.
The DSK Benelli TNT 25 is expected to launch by November 2015, says MotorOctane. Earlier reports suggested that the quarter litre street fighter will be launched during Diwali.
The TNT 25 is powered by a 249 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with DOHC and 4 valves, that develops 25 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The top speed is rated at 145 km/h.
The motorcycle comes with a 16.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 150 kg. Its wheelbase is 1,385 mm, ground clearance is 130 mm and seat height is 780 mm. The TNT 25 is suspended by Benelli branded inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock setup at the rear. The bike is shod with 110/70-17 tyre upfront and 140/60-17 tyre at the rear, both radial. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends, the unit upfront being a 280 mm rotor with 4-piston caliper. It is unlikely for the Indian TNT 25 to be equipped with ABS.
DSK Benelli's current model lineup includes TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130R. They are priced between INR 2.83 and INR 11.81 lakhs respectively (ex-showroom Delhi). The company had earlier announced (at India Bike Week 2015) that three models are set for launch towards the end of this year, including TNT 25, TreK Amazonas 1130 and Keeway Blackster cruiser.
