Chevrolet Cruze LTZ variant MalaysiaNAZA Quest Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor appointed by General Motors for Chevrolet products in Malaysia, has introduced an irresistible offer on the Chevrolet Cruze petrol. Before we begin, note that in Malaysia petrol is very affordable and runs most passenger vehicles on their roads.

Starting today, Malaysian customers who book the Cruze LT will automatically be migrated to the LTZ variant, without having to pay an extra penny.

The LTZ variant is a dressed-up LT variant that sports a track-inspired bodykit and 18 inch wheels. It costs RM 103,888 (17.61 lakhs), without insurance. The LTZ is powered by a 1.8-liter petrol engine that sends out 140hp and 176Nm of torque, married to a 6-speed AT.

Another interesting point to note is Naza is offering this deal on the pre-facelift Cruze. Could this be a stock clearance sale to make space for the Cruze facelift?

Naza Quest has 26 dealers in 18 markets across Malaysia and sells three Chevrolet models - Cruze, Captiva and Colorado.

The difference between the LT and LTZ variant is a lot more than a body kit and bigger wheels in India. The price margin is much wider and GM India is unlikely to pull these stunts on the customer, but if there was a petrol variant, it wouldn't be hard to imagine such an offer running in India as well.
