The Abarth 695 Maserati Edition received its world premiere here at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Only 49 units, in the "Record Grey" livery would be produced to celebrate the founding of the Abarth brand in 1949.
The 695 Maserati Edition is jointly produced by Maserati and Abarth. In addition to the special livery, the car shown here features a black soft top, 'Neptune' 17" glossy black wheels and Xenon headlights. Each car is identified by a plate having sequential numbers from 1 to 49.
The 695 Maserati Edition is powered by a 1.4-liter T-Jet engine tuned to produce 180hp that is paired to an electrically-operated manual gearbox that has controls on the steering wheel. The brakes have been upgraded to Brembo 305 mm brake discs with a four-piston caliper, and the shock absorbers have been updated to special units from Koni. The exhaust is a variable back-pressure dual mode type, to deliver a different note.
Inside, the seats are upholstered in a sand beige leather, with the number "695" heat-printed on the headrest. The dashboard and gearbox trim are finished with a matte-finish carbon lining, and don the 695 logo.
The steering wheel is wrapped in black leather and has beige leather inserts. The pedals and sill plate are made of aluminium. As for the equipment, the Abarth 695 Maserati Edition comes with a JBL Hi-Fi audio system created by Harman as standard. It channels music through 9 speakers and an 8-channel amplifier, the output of which is rated at 400 W.
