Fiat's in-house tuning division Abarth revealed the fastest-ever Fiat 500 in the form of the Abarth 695 Biposto at the Geneva Motor Show. Its power to weight ratio is claimed as 5.2 kg/hp and 0-100 kph time is 5.9 seconds.
The hatchback uses a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 190 hp for a car that weighs 997 kg. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The gearbox features dog rings with controls and disc and clutch self locking differential that allows, the company says, expert riders to shift without holding the clutch. This gearbox is offered as an option.
The limited edition 695 Biposto gets a front intercooler, Akrapovic exhaust system, Extreme Shox adjustable shock absorbers, MXL digital data logger, Abarth Corsa by Sabelt seats with 4 point seat belts, Brembo braking system, lightened 18-inch OZ rims and rear titanium roll bar by Poggipolini.
The car gets muscular front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches and spoiler. There's a new textured-effect Performance Grey colour and the front bonnet trim, door handles and tailgate and the rear handle gets titanium finishing.
