The 2019 Ford Endeavour (2019 Ford Everest) broke covers in May 2018 and is on its way to the Indian car market. The new model has already been spotted undergoing road tests on Indian roads and will launch in Q1 2019.

The facelifted Ford Endeavour sports a revised upper grille with three horizontal slats instead of two, an updated lower air intake, a revised front bumper and new 20-inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the refreshed model is available in a Diffused Silver Metallic paint option. Visually, the interior remains pretty much the same, but the company has added keyless entry, engine start-stop button and foot-activated electric tailgate to enhance the user convenience. The safety net now comprises an Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system that detects both vehicles and pedestrians.

Internationally, the 2019 Ford Endeavour has received a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that is available in two formats - single-turbo with 180PS/420 Nm and bi-turbo with 213 PS/500 Nm. Furthermore, the six-speed automatic transmission has been replaced with an all-new 10-speed automatic unit. The new set of motors have been carried over from the new Ford Ranger. The Indian car market, however, will miss out on the powertrain updates and will continue with the current engine and transmission options.

Currently, the India-spec Ford Endeavour is on sale in two engine variants - 2.2-litre turbo-diesel with 160 PS/385 Nm and 3.2-litre turbo-diesel with 200 PS/470 Nm. Both the motors come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. 4WD is available with the top-spec model. While Ford India will give the 2.0-litre engines and the more sophisticated transmission a miss, it will update the current motors to attain BSVI compliance.
