The Tata Harrier will be revealed to the media in early December. Ahead of the presentation, the company has been issuing numerous teasers of the various features of its new flagship. The latest clip, which has a tagline ' The New Benchmark Of Panache', reveales the new model's 6-speed manual transmission.

Underpinning the Tata Harrier is the OMEGA ARC modular platform, which is, basically, a derivative of the Jaguar Land Rover's D8 platform. The new model's 'Kryotec' engine is actually a rebranded 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine from FCA.  It outputs a maximum power of 140 PS. In the beginning, the only transmission on offer will be the 6-speed manual unit. At a later stage, however, the company will offer an optional Hyundai-sourced 6-speed auto 'box.

Recently, a similar video clip revealed that the Tata Harrier features a cooled storage area under the front armrest. This is a feature that will be seen on a Tata model for the first time ever. The video has a tagline 'The new Benchmark of Indulgence.'

In a Tweet on this feature from its official account, Tata Motors said -

“Engineered to exude your cool persona! Ingeniously-designed features bestow the Tata Harrier with incredible capabilities that cater to all your indulgences. Prepare to experience the SUV that’s #BornOfPedigree in all its splendor.”

Other known premium features of the new model include JBL-sourced audio components, puddle lamps, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, dual-tone interior colour theme, tan leather upholstery, and a large-size colour TFT Multi-Information Display. While the exterior of the Tata Harrier resembles the H5X concept to a large extent, the interior features a more conventional setup devoid of the button-less design seen on the show car.

The Tata Harrier will be available in an FWD configuration only. The Super Drive Modes on offer, however, will provide four options - Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road - to optimise the engine performance as per the usage conditions.
