Along with the more rugged Karoq Scout, Skoda has unveiled the sportier Karoq Sportline at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Here are its live images from the show.
The Škoda Karoq Sportline comes with four engine options, all of which comply with the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standards. The most powerful petrol engine in the range – the 2.0 TSI – delivers 190 PS of power and uses a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The second petrol engine option is the 1.5 TSI petrol unit that has a power output of 150 PS. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while the 7-speed DSG is available as an option. Both TSI engines are fitted with a petrol particulate filter.
The two 2.0 TDI diesel engines for the Skoda Karoq Sportline deliver the same performance numbers as the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engines. The engine with 150 PS power output sends the power to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. However, buyers can opt for all-wheel drive and 7‑speed DSG transmission.
The 2.0 TDI with a power output of 190 PS, on the other hand, comes with a 7-speed DSG and all-wheel drive as standard. Standard equipment on the diesel motor includes an SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue injection and a diesel particulate filter.
Gloss black radiator grille, wing mirror housings, 18-inch Mytikas alloy wheels (standard)/19-inch Vega alloy wheels (optional) and rear diffuser make the Skoda Karoq Sportline look sportier. Other exterior features include body-coloured front bumper, SPORTLINE badges on the front wings, body-coloured protective side trims, tinted windows (Sunset) and black roof rails.
The optional virtual cockpit is available with a fifth display layout: Sport. The current speed is shown in the centre of the display while the selected radio station and the driving data are shown on the right and left. Black sports seats with new ThermoFlux fabric covers and contrasting silver stitching, sports steering wheel and stainless-steel pedal covers are the interior highlights.
