Nissan hasn’t yet revealed the Indian-spec Kicks’ interior design or equipment. A new report from cartoq suggests that like in the global-spec version, it will offer Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection in the Indian-spec version.

Around View Monitor makes parking simple and quick, but expect it only on the top-spec variant.

Around View Monitor creates a virtual 360-degree bird’s eye view of the vehicle with the help of four cameras, and the central monitor displays this view when in use. Selectable split-screen close-ups of the front, rear and curbside views allows for even more precision.

On detecting a moving object, say a pedestrian, for instance, the advanced parking aid warns the driver with a sound to prevent a potential accident. AVM is automatically activated as soon as the driver shifts the gear to reverse, and there’s also a dedicated ‘Camera’ button to activate it manually. IAB expects this feature only on the top-spec variant.

The Indian-spec Nissan Kicks is bigger and looks more aggressive than the global-spec. While the latter rides on the company’s V platform, the former utilises Dacia’s B0/Logan platform as its basis. It is 4,384 mm long, 1,813 mm wide and 1,656 mm tall. It has a 2,673 mm wheelbase.

The Nissan Kicks’ engine options in India will likely include the 1.5-litre H4K petrol unit and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel unit. The petrol engine should have a tuning of 106 PS/142 Nm and send the drive to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The diesel engine will likely deliver 110 PS and 245 Nm of torque. Transmission choices available with this engine may include 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT. The availability of an AWD option is highly unlikely.
