In its new avatar, the Continental GT 650 gets a bikini fairing and new graphics. Up front, the modified motorcycle benefits from a full LED headlight. The fairing comes with a retro-styled windscreen that is aimed to offer better aerodynamics.

Behind the fairing is a semi-digital instrument console that replaces the twin-pod, factory-installed unit. Adding further to the list of modern equipment is a push-start button placed on the clip-on handlebar. The cafe-racer theme is retained with the rider-only seat although the rear cowl gets a new design. The tail light has been swapped out with an aftermarket unit.

Apart from these visual upgrades, the Continental GT 650 appears to use the stock hardware. Thus, you would spot the conventional telescopic front forks accompanied by twin-sided shock absorbers at the rear on the modified version of the cafe racer. The front fork has 110 mm of travel while the back features 88 mm of travel.

The clip-on style handlebar continues to provide forward-leaning ergonomics that would be ideal for twisting backroads.

There is no mention of mechanical upgrades, and thus we expect that the Continental GT 650 Rohini continue with the 648cc, parallel-twin cylinder, air & oil cooled engine, SOHC engine propels the motorcycle. The motor is also equipped with a Bosch fuel injection and engine management. It is tuned to deliver 47 bhp of power at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm. Of the 52 Nm of peak torque, 80 per cent is available from as low as 2,500 rpm.

Braking setup, too, remains in stock condition and a 320 mm single disc at the front and a 240 mm single disc at the rear provide the stopping power. The discs are grabbed by twin-piston Bybre (by Brembo) callipers while the safety net of Bosch dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

The Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor INT 650 will reportedly be launched in India in November 2018. The motorcycles are expected to arrive in the INR 2.5 lakh to INR 3 lakh price range.
