IndianAutosBlog.com understands that the 2019 Ford Figo (facelift) will launch in India in early 2019. The company's entry-level model has been spotted testing on numerous occasions. The refreshed hatchback will feature the same engines and features as the 2018 Ford Aspire (facelift).
The highlight of the updated styling package will be a new mesh grille with a chrome surround. The new bumper will feature C-shaped chrome highlights around its corners. The only difference in the side profile will be courtesy of new design alloy wheels on the top-end trim. The rear will feature a sportier-looking bumper.
The interior will carry an updated dashboard, which will look similar to the one on the Ford Freestyle. The revised centre console will have a much cleaner look due to the introduction of the touchscreen infotainment systems. The mid-range trims of the new model will sport a 7.0-inch FLY infotainment unit, while the top-end variants will boast a 6.5-inch SYNC 3.0 infotainment system. The latter supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The high-end trims will feature a push start-stop button.
The 2019 Ford Figo (facelift) will be powered by the same set of engines that are available on the new Aspire. The petrol variants will be propelled by the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Dragon engine that will replace the current 1.2-litre four-pot motor. The new powerplant outputs a maximum power/peak torque output of 96 PS/120 Nm. The engine will be mated to a Getrag MX65 5-speed manual transmission.
The top-of-the-line petrol variant will be sold with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder Dragon motor from the refreshed EcoSport. It will offer a maximum power/peak torque of 123 PS/150 Nm. A 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will replace the current model's 6-speed dual clutch unit. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will be retained but could get a minor re-tune for slightly higher fuel economy.
