The Tata Nexon has reached a new production milestone of 50,000 units. Tata Motors manufactures the small SUV at the Ranjangaon plant.
Prices of the Nexon range start at INR 6.16 lakh* and go all the way to INR 10.59 lakh*. The B-SUV is available with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine. The turbocharged petrol engine produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, while the turbocharged diesel engine develops 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automated manual transmission sends power to the front wheels.
The top-of-the-line trim of the Tata Nexon SUV offers a long list of features, which includes some really premium bits like a Harman-sourced 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and projector headlamps. Dual front airbags and ABS with EBD are standard. The Tata Nexon rivals sub-4-metre sub-compact SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport.

The Tata Nexon SUV was launched on September 21, 2017, and has been fairly quick with establishing a strong foothold in the sub-4-meter compact SUV segment. It was recently crash tested by Global NCAP. The Made-in-India SUV achieved a four-star rating for adult protection and three-star rating for child occupant protection. The globally-recognised crash testing platform has rated Nexon's structure as ‘stable’.
