Officially revealed in February earlier this year, the 5-seat Nissan Terra was launched in China last month. Today, the 7-seat Nissan Terra made its world debut in the Philippines. Nissan has revealed the list of markets the Terra is headed to next.
The Philippine-spec Nissan Terra measures 4,885 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height. Its wheelbase spans a length of 2,850 mm. The mid-size SUV offers 225 mm of ground clearance and has a 32.3-degree approach angle and a 26.6-degree departure angle.
In China, the Nissan Terra is strictly a 5-seater and a petrol-only model. However, we had said other markets, including the Philippines, will likely get a 7-seat version and a diesel engine. That’s exactly what has happened. The Philippines gets the mid-size SUV with seating for 7 people and a diesel engine.
The diesel engine in question is the YD25DDTi 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit that produces 190 PS at 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic are the transmission choices. Five configurations are available, and four of them have a rear-wheel drive layout. The top-of-the-line configuration is fitted with a 4WD system with a locking differential.
LED DRLs, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, push-button start, smart IRVM that displays rear-view camera and Around View Monitor's feed, Zero Gravity front seats, one-touch remote fold & tumble second-row seats, six airbags, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning are the key features of the Nissan Terra.

As expected, the Philippine-spec Nissan Terra’s production will take place in Thailand. Pre-orders are now open and deliveries are expected to commence in August. Prices start at PHP 14,99,000 and go up to PHP 20,96,000. The Nissan Terra competes with the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport (Mitsubishi Pajero Sport/Mitsubishi Shogun Sport), Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour), Chevrolet Trailblazer and Isuzu MU-X.
