Maruti Suzuki had opened bookings for the 2018 Maruti Swift in January this year. In less than two months, the company has received more than 75,000 bookings for the new small hatchback, as per a report from CarToq.
The 2018 Maruti Swift was launched at Auto Expo 2018 last month. The fully redesigned model is available in twelve different configurations, with features like LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels, pillar-mounted rear door handles, LED tail lamps, engine push start-stop button, leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel and Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the safety front, Maruti Suzuki equips the all-new Maruti Swift with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat anchorages as standard. Reverse parking camera and reverse parking sensors are available in higher-end configurations.
The 2018 Maruti Swift is available with the 1.2L VVT petrol engine and the 1.3L DDiS 190 diesel engine. The petrol engine develops 61 kW (81.77 hp) and 113 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 55.2 kW (73.99 hp) and 190 Nm of torque. Both are coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission or the 5-speed AGS automated manual transmission. ARAI has given the all-new Maruti Swift a fuel economy rating of 22 km/l (petrol)/28.4 km/l (diesel).

The 2018 Maruti Swift's prices range from INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) to INR 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The hatchback has a long waiting period that can stretch up to 8 weeks.
