The 2018 Dacia Duster (2018 Renault Duster) was showcased at the Paris Motor Show this month. The latest generation of the small SUV has been on sale in France at a base price of € 11,990 (INR 1018423.84).
The second generation Dacia Duster sports an evolutionary design that makes it look more modern and upmarket while maintaining the familiar look of the first generation of the affordable SUV. The front-end features a sleeker set of headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a new bonnet with more prominent creases, a bigger skid plate, and more elaborate chrome embellishments on the front grille. In the side profile, the new model features 17-inch machined alloy wheels and a steeply raking beltline. The rear-end sports squarish tail lamps, which, in a fashion typical of Dacia, comprises four red squares each.
On the inside, the 2018 Dacia Duster carries the same utilitarian and functional feel that was a characteristic of its predecessor. That said, the all-new dashboard looks more upmarket and better proportioned, while the controls have been repositioned in the interest of better ergonomics. The additional soundproofing has cut down the cabin noise by half.
The 2018 Dacia Duster offers a broader safety net than the earlier generation. Other than boasting a stronger structure, six airbags, and ABS with EBD, it comes with driving aids such as Blind Spot Warning, automatic headlamps, multi-view camera, and a speed limiter system.
