Last month, Toyota unveiled the second generation Toyota Rush in Indonesia. According to a report from the Bangkok Post, Toyota will soon launch the 2018 Toyota Rush in Thailand.
According to the report, the all-new Toyota Rush could replace the ageing Toyota Avanza in Thailand. Unlike rival Honda BR-V, the second-gen Toyota Rush uses a ladder-frame chassis for higher toughness. This is particularly to tackle the rural roads in Indonesia and other similar markets.
The 2018 Toyota Rush measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,705 mm in height. It has a 2,685 mm wheelbase and a 220 mm ground clearance. It is powered by the 2NR-VE 1.5-litre Dual-VVT-i petrol engine that produces 104 PS at 6,000 rpm and 13.9 kg.m (136 Nm) of torque at 4,200 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

Noteworthy features of the all-new Toyota Rush include LED headlamps, dark chrome front grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps, two-tone dashboard, automatic climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, charging slot in every row, six airbags and rear parking camera.
TAM is yet to announce the Rush’ pricing for Indonesia.
