Last month, it was reported that Toyota would launch the next-gen Toyota Vios and next-gen Toyota Yaris in Brazil in 2018. According to a report from Noticias Automotivas, production of the 2018 Toyota Vios and 2018 Toyota Yaris will commence in August 2018.

The next-gen Toyota Vios and next-gen Toyota Yaris will ride on the Toyota TNGA platform. Currently, the modular platform underpins the Toyota Prius, Toyota C-HR and Toyota Camry. Moving to its next generation, the Toyota Corolla will also adopt this platform. Production of all three TNGA models - Vios, Yaris and Corolla - will be from the Indaiatuba plant. Currently, this facility makes only the current Corolla.

The new generation Toyota Yaris and Vios duo will replace the Toyota Etios and and Etios Sedan in Brazil. The Toyota Vios will reportedly debut in India at the Auto Expo 2018 and go on sale in April 2018, but we are not expecting the TNGA version immediately.
