The Benelli Zafferano 250 EFI has been spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune highway. The scooter was spied by IAB patron Abhishek Joshi.
The Zafferano 250 EFI is currently on sale in Indonesia for Rp 45,550,000 OTR (On The Road) Jakarta. The windshield is visible in the camouflaged maxi scooter. The scooter was recently spotted testing, indicating that Benelli is considering the scooter in India. However, the company is yet to confirm future plans.

The Zafferano 250 EFI uses a 249.7 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. It produces 21.07 PS of power at 7,000 rpm and 20.83 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT unit. The scooter comes to a halt using twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. A telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear take care of the suspension duties.

The maxi scooter gets a 12-litre fuel tank and weighs 155 kg. The 14-inch alloy wheels are shod with 120-section rubber at the front and 140-section at the rear. The twin-pod analogue instrument cluster comes with a digital inset.
A 250cc twin cylinder cruiser has also been spotted testing by Benelli. The launch of these two products would mark Benelli’s foray into the respective segments in India for the first time. The Zafferano, if launched, would be the only quarter litre performance scooter in India.
