First Land Rover to get the all-new 2.0L Ingenium diesel engine in India.
Jaguar Land Rover has launched the MY2017 Range Rover Evoque diesel in India at prices ranging between INR 49.10 Lakhs and INR 64.65 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The petrol variant will go on sale in January 2017, and only be sold in the SE grade.
No cosmetic changes have been introduced to the recently-facelifted Range Rover Evoque. Instead, it replaces the Ford-sourced 2.2L Sd4 unit for an all new 2.0L Ingenium diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It can average a fuel economy of 15.68 km/L, an improvement over the previous model's 13.3 km/L figure. As for the petrol variant, it will pack a new 2.0L 4-cyl turbo engine with 241 hp, also mated to a 9-speed automatic.
The 2017 Range Rover Evoque also gets better equipment options that were already available when the facelift was introduced this year in other markets. The HSE and HSE Dynamic variants get a 10-inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, 825W Meridian surround sound system, gesture tailgate opening, surround camera system, and Head-Up display.
JLR also launched a limited edition Range Rover Evoque Ember Edition at INR 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the range-topping HSE Dynamic trim, it is finished in a black exterior color contrasted by a gloss red roof and bumper garnish, black alloy rims and an all black interior with contrast red stitching and red ambient lighting.
