Will be launched in India during festive season.
Ford is showcasing the 2017 Ford EcoSport at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Here are the facelifted model's images from the motor show, courtesy Carplace.
With the mid-life facelift, the Ford EcoSport's exterior is most changed on the front. Inspired by the Ford Escape (Ford Kuga), the new EcoSport incorporates bigger headlamps, new trapezoidal grille, reshaped fog lamps, resculpted bonnet, redesigned bumper and apron and faux skid plates on the outside.
The Ford Escape has left its impression inside too, with the new three-spoke steering wheel. Some elements are shared with the Ford Focus as well, including the steering wheel, the headlight controls and window controls. At the center of the redesigned dashboard, there's the 8.0-inch Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system. The centre console has been updated with a new and more premium layout and controls. The central HVAC vents are now horizontal.
The 2017 Ford EcoSport (facelift) will reportedly to go on sale in India during Diwali. An EcoSport prototype has been imported recently and it could be the facelifted model, but there haven't been any test mule sightings in India yet.

Ford is going to offer a new 130 hp 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine in South America, but it's yet to be known if there's going to be a change in the Indian-spec version's engine options which currently are 1.5L TiVCT petrol, 1.5L TDCi diesel and 1.0L EcoBoost petrol.
While Ford will shift out the Euro-spec EcoSport's production to Craiova this year, the Chennai plant has won the contract to supply the new Ford EcoSport to the US market.
