World debut expected in Asia this year.
Just a couple of days after the front-end of the new 2016 Toyota Fortuner was leaked by a Thai website, fully revealing images of the new SUV have surfaced on Fly-Wheel.
As these images show, the front fascia is not the only part which sports a revolutionary design language but the entire car features a design which breaks the mould of the current vehicle. While the door panels are free of surface creases, the window line bears an interesting upward kink and ends at a quirky rear window.
Designers have carved out generous wheel arches for the new Fortuner, while adding subtle cladding over them.
The front end of the new Fortuner subscribes to a Lexus-esque design, which according to a report, would help in the premium positioning of the SUV and help differentiate it from its pick-up sibling, the Hilux.
Based on a new ladder-frame platform, the 2016 Fortuner would be revealed in Asia this year, and an Indian launch is expected to unfold next year. The Auto Expo 2016 taking place in the first week of February would be an ideal stage for TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) to introduce the car.
