Will be exported from Ford India's plant in Sanand, Gujarat.
Autobild reports that the next generation Ford Ka (sold in India as the Ford Figo) will make its European debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
This falls inline with a report stating that the Ford Figo will be exported from India to Europe in early 2016, wherein it will be manufactured at Ford India's new plant in Sanand, Gujarat. It has a production volume of 240,000 cars per annum and 270,000 engines per annum.
The new hatchback will rival the likes of the Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra and Hyundai i10 in Europe. Engine options could include the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol or the 1.2-liter Ti-VCT, while a 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed PowerShift DCT automatic will be the gearbox options. European markets friendly to diesel power will get the 100 PS 1.5-liter TDCi engine option with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
