Fiat Strada ‘Extreme’ variant pitted against the Renault Duster Oroch – Brazil
Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!
Launch expected in October.
Fiat Brazil will be launching the special ‘Extreme’ series of the Fiat Strada pickup truck based on the Adventure trim. This will be offered in both extended and double cab variants with a launch expected in October, as per the Brazilian media.
On the outside, the Extreme version can be identified with the special alloy wheels and a dark Graphite finish on the body cladding. The interior also receives graphite detailing on the center console and AC vents, along with a multi-function leather steering wheel.
The Extreme version is packed with extra features such as a new media system, floor mats with ‘Extreme’ lettering and parking sensors with reverse camera. The Strada has a luggage capacity of 704 kg.
The engine powering the Strada Extreme will be the same 1.8-liter, 16 valve four-cylinder flex-fuel unit that generates 132 hp which can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a Dualogic automated gearbox.
The Fiat Strada Extreme will be launched in the market to counter the Renault Duster Oroch pickup. The price has not been officially revealed but it is expected to be around R $ 71,000 (INR 11,69,500).
