Gets a new 1.6-litre engine with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 2015 VW Fox hatchback, which has been testing in Brazil for months, has been revealed and the local publications have already sampled the refreshed model.
As reported earlier, the refreshed Fox comes with a sharpened up front fascia which features a narrower grille with chrome underlining, revised headlamps that are grown in size, a new sporty bumper and a slightly reprofiled hood.
The profile remains intact except for new alloy wheel designs. The rear features the most significant of the cosmetic changes which comes in the form of new combination lights. The new units are horizontally oriented and extend to the hatch door which features sharp character lines.
Inside, the dashboard layout remains the same while the AC vents have been subtly revised. The top-end Highline trim receives a new flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, a la 2014 VW Polo feature, and a multimedia infotainment system with a centre console mounted color display.
The biggest upgrade however comes from under the hood in the form of a new 1.6-litre flex-fuel motor, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motor develops 120 PS (118.3 bhp) and is available only in the Highline variant. The old car's 1.0-litre and 1.6-litre flex-fuel units are retained as well.
Upgraded equipment list includes ESP, TCS, BA, Hill Hold Assist, Electronic Differential Lock and Brake Assist.
