The VW Polo facelift which is less than a month away from its Indian launch can be now spruced up with a list of genuine accessories in Europe.
The facelifted Polo's accessories include usual styling add-ons like roof spoiler, chrome exhaust finisher, wing mirror covers with faux carbon fibre finish, stainless steel pedal caps and 16-inch 10-spoke Syenit alloy wheels. VW also offers a new 300 watts audio system with sub-woofer and amplifier that can use the standard speakers.
Practical elements include a bicycle carrier, washable non-slip acid resistant luggage tray for the boot and G0 Plus Isofix child safety seat with 5-point harness.
The India-spec Polo is expected to offer some of these accessories when it goes on sale on July 15. The refreshed hatchback receives a revised grille and bumper in addition to a new exterior color option and alloy wheels. Changes on the inside include a new steering wheel and silver inserts for the center console.
The VW Polo facelift will ditch the 1.2-litre three cylinder diesel engine in favor of a new 1.5-litre mill that would be available in two states of tune, possibly in 89 hp and 104 hp avatars. The more powerful version would be available only on the top end GT TDI trim.
The petrol lineup, which includes the 1.2-litre three cylinder and the 1.2-litre TSI four-cylinder, is expected to be retained. All variants would be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox except the GT TSI which employs a 7-speed DSG unit.
