2014 Goodwood Live – Skoda Yeti Xtreme

The Skoda Yeti Xtreme concept was showcased first at the 2014 Wörthersee late last month. It has been presented again, and for the first time in the UK, at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed today.
Skoda calls this concept a “crisp and robust interpretation of the popular compact SUV.” The car is defined by its aggressive matte grey exterior with reworked bumpers, reside side skirts and re-bolstered fender flares. The exterior is given yellow and green accents, a dual exhaust layout and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with off-road tires.
The car’s rally-oriented cabin features four Recaro sports seats (complete with four-point harnesses), Alcantara upholstery and a flat-bottom sport steering. Other features worth noting are the carbon fiber door panels, aluminum floor, an exposed spare wheel (first seen on the production Chinese Yeti) and a modified center console fitted with a fire extinguisher, seatbelt cutter and a dock for a mobile tablet.
The Yeti Xtreme is driven by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder TSI motor that churns out 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It is paired to a six-speed DSG (dual clutch gearbox) which puts the power down through an all-wheel drive system. This powertrain gives the Yeti a 0-100 km/h time of 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 192 km/h.
