Tata Motors has unveiled the Nexon design concept at the 2014 Auto Expo featuring the unique front mask and daylight opening that were seen first on the Tata MegaPixel concept. The vehicle is powered by a three-cylinder 1.2L turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 110 PS and 170 Nm. It is driven via a 5-speed automatic transmission to return a fuel efficiency of 17.6 kmpl.
Tata say that a unique asset to the the Tata Nexon Concept is the customization options on offer, from the upper grille to the beltline fastner. Other features include LED headlamps, electric 4WD option, double sliding door system and full width instrument panel display and floating console.
The top speed of the vehicle is claimed as 180 kph, and the vehicle rides on 17-inch wheels. In terms of dimensions, the car is 4 m long, 1.73 m wide and 1.6 m tall. It has a wheelbase of 2.54 m and is based on the X1 platform.
