Land Rover have announced the updated 2014 Range Rover Evoque for the Indian market at the Auto Expo. The most significant improvement in the crossover is the new ZF-developed 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Evoque promises a 11.4 percent improvement in fuel efficiency now. The 9-speed transmission is available in both, petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol Evoque, available only as a coupe in the top-end Dynamic trim, is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine outputting 240 PS and 340 Nm of torque.
The diesel, available only as a 5-door in three trims, is powered by a four-cylinder 2.2-liter engine producing 190 PS and 420 Nm of torque. Terrain Response, Torque Vectoring by Braking, Dynamic Stability Control, panoramic roof with powered blind, Meridian sound system, Xenon headlamps with signature LEDs and an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system are standard across all trims.
The 2014 model year Evoques also add a new color option for the interior, a new alloy wheel design and new style Land Rover badge on the exteriors. Prices for India are not announced.
