Chevrolet has unveiled the 2015 Colorado at the Los Angeles Auto show. Set to go on sale in mid 2014, the Colorado will get two engine options and both two wheel and four wheel drive options will be sold. A 4 cylinder 2.5 liter producing 193 bhp and peak torque of 249 Nm will power the Colorado.
Chevy will also offer the 2015 Colorado with a more powerful V6 3.6-liter engine rated at 302 bhp and 366 Nm. These two engines will send their power to the road via a six-speed automatic transmission with a tow/haul mode and auto grade braking.
The Colorado promises to offer class-leading payload capacity and a trailering capacity of more than 6,700 lbs (3,039 kgs). It will be available in WT, LT and Z71 trim levels. The Z71 is distinguished by its bespoke 17-inch alloys, projector headlamps and a gunmetal front grille surround.
The Colorado will be available with a six-foot bed, a crew cab with a five-foot bed and as a crew cab with a six-foot bed. On the inside it will get rear under-seat storage and a standard center console, along with an upper-instrument panel storage bin and a large glove box.
Starting with the 2016 model year, the Colorado will also be offered with a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine.
