Interiors are dual tone with use of beige and dark grey. AC vents, door trims and the gear knob get fake wood treatment. The instrument panel is simple and easy to read. It has nothing fancy about it expect the blue illumination.
The driver gets height adjustable seat and tilt adjustable steering. Outside rear view mirrors are power adjustable. The last row seats can be folded to open up 630 litres of luggage space.
The Chevrolet Enjoy is powered by GM India’s SMARTECH petrol and diesel engines.
The petrol unit is a 1.4L four cylinder engine that produces max power of 104 PS @ 6,000 rpm and max torque of 131Nm @ 4,400 rpm. The diesel motor is a 1.3L Fiat engine which produces 77.5 PS @ 4,000 rpm and a torque of 188 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. Both these motors are connected to a five speed manual transmission that transfers drive to the rear axle.
Chevrolet says the Enjoy is engineered with a Safe Cage Body structure which has ten collision protection beams made up of high strength steel. In addition the MPV gets ABS, EBD, dual front airbags and speed sensitive auto door locks.
Other features of the MPV include Rear Wash and Wipe, Remote Key Lock/Unlock system with buzzer.
The Enjoy comes with the 3 year/1,00,000 km standard warranty. In addition, the industry unique 3 year/45,000km Chevrolet Promise, which will cover parts like clutch, pressure plates, wiper blades, etc and the labour cost is an optional feature.
With such aggressive prices, will GM India be able to divert customers of the Ertiga towards the Enjoy?
