Bumper To Bumper – Should Fiat have chosen the 500L to go with the 500X?

Shrawan

Shrawan Raja,

I’m the Founder & CEO of IndianAutosBlog.com. I love teamwork and talking about cars.

Though Fiat has not announced the name or identity of the B-Segment SUV that it has planned for India, we understand it will be the 500X planned on the Punto platform.

But today’s video is not about the SUV or even the MPV as the title claims. The bigger question is about what Fiat has to do to stay alive in India.

Have they chosen the right products to compete and win 5% market share? Will they be able to build up their dealer network in time to achieve this target in time? What about the Palio customers, are they going to get more attention with the independent dealership and workshop outlets? Isn’t perception and products a closed loop that is giving nightmares to Fiat?

Fiat has just announced plans for India until 2016 and will there be a lot that one can expect from them in the coming years?

Don’t forget to place your thoughts in the comment box below. See you there!
