1. Yamaha YZF-R3
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the new YZF-R3. The motorcycle sits above the YZF-R25 with a 321 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor producing 42 PS (41.4 hp) at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
2. Fiat Avventura
The Fiat Avventura soft crossover will launch tomorrow (October 21). The Punto-based model features a crossover body kit and exposed spare wheel. Power comes from the Punto's 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel motors.
3. DSK-Benelli
Pune-based DSK has tied up with Italian bike maker Benelli. To be launched in the next two months, the JV has announced 5 products for India starting from a 300 cc naked sportbike all way to a 1,131 cc superbike.
4. New Mini
Indian Autos Blog learns from its sources that the new Mini, in both 3-door and 5-door body styles, will be launched in India this year. The cars debut BMW's UKL platform and three-cylinder engines.
5. 2014 Colombo Motor Show
The 2014 Colombo Motor Show in Sri Lanka kick started with a sizable number of local premieres. The BMW i3, new Nissan X-Trail and Suzuki Celerio special editions are among the debuts.
