According to an Autocar India report, the SWM Superdual T will launch in India within three weeks. The Superdual T was first showcased in India at the Great Trail Adventure event in Pune in April 2018.
The SWM brand will be marketed in India through the MotoRoyale venture of Kinetic Group, which also sells brands like MV Agusta and Norton Motorcycles. That said, the MotoRoyale venture will soon introduce brands like Hyosung and FB Mondial. Coming back to the SWM Superdual T, it is a 600 cc adventure tourer that will rival the upcoming Benelli TRK 502 and the Kawasaki Versys 650.
While the SWM Superdual T is the base variant in the company’s ADV line-up, SWM Motorcycles will also introduce the Superdual X thoroughbred off-road variant. Powering the SWM Superdual T is a 600 cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection. The Euro 4 compliant engine produces 53.64 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm along with a 53.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine pairs to a 6-speed gearbox with a final chain drive.
Stopping power comes from a 300 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear rotor with Brembo callipers, while dual-channel ABS with switchable Enduro mode is standard. The Superdual T features 110/80 R19 front and 140/80 R17 Metzeler Tourance tyres, while the Superdual X gets 90/90 R21 and 140/80 R18 Metzeler Enduro 3 Sahara tyres at the front and back.
The SWM Superdual T will be imported into the country via the CKD route and is likely to be priced around INR 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
