An Indian launch is undecided however.
Ssangyong's upcoming compact SUV, the X100, will launch in early 2015 with a 1.6-liter engine, company sources told AutoHome at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Further the publication was told that the X100 will be available with 2WD and 4WD from the time of launch.
Based on an all-new monocoque platform, the X100 is an instrumental product for Ssangyong to double its sales by 2016. It will look to tap into the growing SUV market in regions like China and Europe, though its home market in Korea will be the first to get the X100, reports say.
The Mahindra-owned Korean carmaker previewed the design of the X100 by way of the XIV Air and XIV Adventure concepts at the Paris Motor Show last month. The XIV Adventure is the more realistic concept of the two, thanks to its conventional roof primarily.
